On Saturday 13th August, Mrs. Beatrice Okeke, Mother to Hon. Ibemeka Chidiebere was conferred with the "đđŽđđ´đľđđ˛đż đźđł đđśđźđť" Award by the Home and Abroad Women of St. Monica's Parish Enugwu-Ukwu.
The meritorious award was in recognition of her philanthropic services to the church specifically and to humanity in general. The ceremony was held during the Finale of their annual August General Convention.
Presenting the award, the Women's President, Dame Mrs. Uzo Nwandu eulogised Mrs. Beatrice and described her character and commitment as top notch.
"Mrs. Beatrice has overtime refused to accept such merit award despite her outstanding performances in promoting the interest of the womenfolks in this Parish, I'm glad she has finally accepted this today. Her commitment in making sure that we succeed is indescribable, may God crown her efforts with more success" - she added.
Hon. Chidi Ibemeka thanked the women for finding her mother worthy of such award and pledged to constantly support their activities as always.
